2010 Resolutions
Maybe if I post some resolutions, I'll actually accomplish them. Here are a few things I'd like to do in 2010.
- Recycle, recycle, recycle. While I think we do a pretty good job of recycling, we could do better. Instead of being lazy and tossing something out, take the few seconds it takes to clean it out and toss it in the bin
- Get back into the composting game again. Ever since June, we've been bad about saving our veggies, fruits, coffee grinds and egg shells for the compost. Once again, time to stop being lazy and walk out to the compost bin. Heck, the fresh air will do us good!
- Start a garden and maintain it. Maybe we'll make a couple of raised beds to see if we're more successful than my flower pot garden. I just think it would be great to be able to go out and grab a few things for dinner. It's such a rewarding hobby.
- Cook more and eat healthier. I figure these go hand-in-hand. We're both tired of eating out, and now with Margot in the picture, I want her to grow up thinking that eating veggies and fruit are cool! So that leads me to wanting to cook more (that, and watching Julie and Julia).
- Cut back on my internet usage. The sad thing about this is that I really don't look at much at all online. Pretty much, I am constantly checking gmail, Facebook, Flickr and Twitter, with a couple of blogs thrown in there. Sad, I know, but I enjoy keeping up with peoples lives. Again, with Margot in the picture, I don't want her to get used to a Mom neglecting her for the computer.
- And of course the one that is on everyone's list--EXERCISE! There is no reason that I can't put Margot in the stroller and get out there and go for a walk.
