Up, up and away

Satruday was a beautiful day so we spent it at the park.  We started out with a picnic, which surprisingly enough, Margot did great with.  We figured she'd get so side tracked and not eat or try to run away, but she didn't.  She sat there and ate everything!  Next, we headed over to the field where some men were flying kites.  Margot really got a kick out of them.  The one that looked like a cartoon was her favorite.  She stood as close as we'd let her saying "hi" over and over.  Then it was off to the pond where she watched the geese and learned to throw rocks in the water.  Every time they would "plunk" in the water, she'd laugh.  After that it was back to the playground and then home.  I think I can say that I'm ready for spring.  It's so much more fun being outside and playing with Margot instead of being cooped up indoors.  We both enjoy it so much more!

This week the consignment sales start.  I'm super excited (yeah, I lead a boring life) to hit them up.  More books, summer clothes and toys for Margot!!  Woohoo!

Birthday fun!

Happy Birthday Robbie!  We started the day with lunch at Cantina with his Mom, two aunts and his cousin.  After we finished stuffing our faces we headed back to his Aunt Lynn's house and headed to the park.  It was such a beatiful day to be outside.  I love the winter, but when you are a stay at home mom, it's imperative that you're able to get outside and enjoy some fresh air or you will go crazy.  Not to mention, it's a great way to wear Margot out!  Tomorrow, I think I'm sending him off to the driving range and the little lady and I will head back out to play some more.

If you stop by here, make sure you wish Roberino a very Happy Birthday!

Fun!

Today Margot and I checked out the new Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville.  I've heard lots of good things about it, and everything everyone said was true.  It's got lots of little areas set up that are based on careers that kids tend to say they want to be when they grow up; doctor's office, vet, cafe, airport, fireman, ambulance, a bank, a grocery store and a water area, amongst many other things.  It's definitely a must for everyone around the area.  It's so much fun that we ended up getting a year membership to it so we can keep going back!  Here are a couple of pictures from our visit.  The little boy is Margot's friend, Jackson.
